Hi there. My name's Scott and I am a photographer based in Bristol.
To be more specific, I suppose you could say I'm a 'people' photographer. Weddings, events, portraits - I like to capture the emotions and stories throughout the day as they unfold.
I photograph using natural light as much as possible and strive to capture real moments of the people I am photographing. Although I try to capture those candid moments on their own, I'll sometimes lend a hand to compose some shots so that we get a great range of images to capture the day.
How did my life come into focus? Well, my first career was as an officer in the Canadian military. I studied at the Royal Military College in Canada, then went on to serve all over the globe. I ended up spending a lot of my time away from family and friends and as I approached thirty, I stepped back and had a look at my life and what was important to me.
Throughout my time in the military, I always kept my camera by my side, shooting places and people along the way; these images became the lasting memories of my life and were a real driving factor behind me becoming a full-time photographer.
When I'm not taking pictures, I like to explore the great outdoors across the UK but particularly the seaside in Devon and Wales with my girlfriend. I enjoy music, sports, cooking, and boardgames.
